Dates and facts
History:
The formation of the Department of Theory and History of state and Law is difficult to separate from the history of the Faculty of Law. In 1978, the Department of State and Law was divided into two departments: the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, and the Department of State Law and Soviet Construction.
In the period from 1978 to 1980, the Department of Theory and History of state and Law was headed by Associate Professor Vladimirov V. A. After successfully defending his PhD thesis at Moscow State University named after M. Lomonosov from 1980 to 1981, the department was headed by Associate Professor E. A. Ponozhenko. The university management invited specialists from other universities of the republic to strengthen the scientific personnel and training of lawyers. So, from 1981 to 1984, the management of the department was entrusted to the candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor Agdarbekov T. A., a graduate of the Kirov State University. From 1984 till 1994, the head of the department was a young scientist Akhmetova N. S., a student of the famous academic Zimanov S. Z. In 1994-2019, the department was headed by a graduate of the Saratov Law Institute named after D. I. Kursky, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor Kakimova M. S. Since 2019, the leadership is carried out by Doctor of PhD, Associate Professor Musin K. S.

Today, the department employs 14 teachers, including three candidates of Science, Doctor of PhD, Masters, holders of the republican title "Best University Teacher": Candidate of Law, Professor Akhmetova N. S., Doctor of Law, Professor Kozhakhmetov G. Z., Candidate of Law, Professor Turlaev A.V.

Every year, leading experts in the field of international and state law from Poland, the Russian Federation, and the Republic of Kyrgyzstan give guest lectures for students and teachers of the Faculty of Law.

The Department provides joint training of PhD doctors with professors of the Department of Constitutional Law of the Wroclaw University of Administrative Law and Economics (Poland): doctor of Law Christian Zomplak and Doctor of Law Arthur Lavnichak.
