A delegation from the Karaganda Research University named after Academician E.A. Buketov visited the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences—one of Europe's leading research centers in the fields of polymer chemistry, materials science, biomedical polymers, and drug delivery systems.
During a meeting with the Institute's Director, Professor Tomáš Etrych, KarNRU Vice-Rector for Research, Professor Erkeblan Tazhbaev, presented the university's research results in nanotechnology, polymer materials, and pharmaceutical chemistry. Particular attention was paid to the development of modern drug delivery systems based on polymer nanoparticles and hydrogels.
During the visit, Professor E.M. Tazhbaev and Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Engineering, Dr. T.M. Serikov and I.V. Serikov visited the institute's research laboratories. Using modern, world-class analytical equipment, the scientists conducted microstructural studies of new polymeric materials developed at KarNIU, which will provide additional insights into their structure and potential practical applications.
The parties discussed prospects for expanding scientific collaboration, preparing joint applications for international grants, and implementing joint research projects in the fields of biomedical polymers and nanomedicine.
Following the meeting, the Czech colleagues expressed interest in developing a partnership with KarNIU and their willingness to host young scientists, doctoral students, and university researchers for research internships in the laboratories of the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
