IMPLEMENTATION OF A KAZAKH LANGUAGE COURSE AS PART OF THE "SILVER UNIVERSITY" PROGRAM

As part of the "Silver University" program, the Institute of Continuous Education, in collaboration with the Faculty of Philology, successfully implemented the Kazakh language course "Kel, kazakhsha soyleseyik!", which ran from March 18 to May 20, 2026.
Two groups of students were organized for the course:
a beginner-level group;
an advanced-level group.
The classes were taught by experienced faculty members from the Faculty of Philology:
A.Sh. Smailova, lecturer in the beginner-level group;
B.O. Rakhimbaeva, lecturer in the advanced-level group.
Fifteen senior students completed the course. Each group completed 36 academic hours of the program. The main goal of the course was to develop Kazakh conversational skills, expand vocabulary, and improve proficiency in the state language.
During the project, active outreach efforts were conducted: advertising materials were prepared, banners were placed, and informational announcements were published on the university's official websites and social media.
Upon completion of the course, all participants received certificates. The ceremony was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Participants expressed their sincere gratitude to the organizers and instructors for their professionalism, accessible presentation, and the opportunity to improve their knowledge of the state language.
The "Kel, kazakhsha soyleseyik!" project has been running since 2024 and annually generates great interest among participants of the Silver University program, promoting active longevity, lifelong learning, and the popularization of the state language among older citizens.
