Visit of the delegation of the US Embassy

From October 28 to October 30, 2021, the Department of Economics and International Business, the Center for Youth Entrepreneurship and Buketov Business and Innovation Hub were visited by a delegation from the University of Iowa (USA) and the US Embassy in Kazakhstan. The delegation included the Attache of the U.S. Embassy in Kazakhstan for Culture and Education Amber Aura, Director of the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center, Associate Professor of the Institute of International Business Dimy Doreska and Professor of the Institute of International Business and administrator of grant programs Kelly Bedeyan.

During the visit by the delegation of the department and the Center, the high organization of the educational process for conducting business-oriented disciplines and the timeliness of events dedicated to the development of the startup movement in the region and the university were noted.

Within 3 days, a workshop on the further development of entrepreneurial education was held on the basis of the Department of Economics and International Business. Business relations have been established between the Department of Economics and International Business of academician E.A. Buketov Karaganda University and the Institute of International Business of the University of Iowa and further educational and research activities are planned.

The US Embassy, represented by Cultural and Educational Attache Amber Ora, thanked the university and faculty leadership for the warm welcome and work on organizing the activities of the delegation from the University of Iowa.
