OPENING OF THE THAMES RESOURCE CENTER

On March 11, the Faculty of Education at Buketov National University held a grand opening ceremony for the THAMES resource center. The center was created as part of the research project "Development and Implementation of a Synergistic Model for the Training and Professional Development of Innovative and Active Teachers in the Context of Globalization, Digitalization, and Inclusive Education."The project's main goal is to increase teachers' motivation for innovation, systematize advanced teaching practices, expand access to educational resources aimed at professional development, and create a favorable environment for the effective implementation of research initiatives.The grand opening of the center included the installation of a plaque and a ribbon cutting. This honorary mission was carried out by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs M. M. Umurkulova, Dean of the Faculty of Education S. A. Mulikova, and the project's scientific director, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, research professor S. K. Abildina. Speakers at the meeting emphasized the importance of the new center for developing innovative initiatives in the education system and highlighted the unique nature of the project, which is being implemented through the joint collaboration of the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Physics and Technology. A brief report on the research work being conducted within the project was also presented, along with a presentation of the center's future plans and capabilities. Particular attention was paid to disseminating innovative teaching practices, enhancing the professional competencies of teachers, and integrating modern research with practice.International scholars and professors from partner universities joined the online event. They congratulated the university on the opening of the new center and expressed their best wishes.Dean of the Faculty of Education S. A. Mulikova gave the participants a special tour of the new center. The guests were introduced to the educational and research space, equipped with modern equipment, and the center's capabilities. Creative works and artwork by students from the faculty were also on display, which sparked genuine interest. The new THAMES resource center will become an important scientific and educational platform aimed at enhancing the professional competencies of teachers, implementing innovative ideas into practice, and developing the modern educational process.
