A delegation from the Karaganda National Research University named after Academician E.A. Buketov visited the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen (Czech Republic).
A key outcome of the visit was the signing of an agreement to implement a joint international project, funded by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and the European Union. The project focuses on archaeological and interdisciplinary research into sustainability strategies in the 20th century.
During the meeting, representatives of the two universities discussed future prospects for cooperation, including academic mobility, internships for faculty and researchers, joint research, international conferences, and the development of new grant projects.
A presentation by the University of West Bohemia was also organized for the KNRU delegation. Colleagues introduced the guests to the university's educational programs, research centers, modern laboratories, and facilities, demonstrating the high level of organization of educational and research processes. During the meeting, T.M. Serikov, Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Engineering, donated samples for TEM and X-ray diffraction analysis, marking the beginning of joint scientific work.
The visit marked an important step in strengthening the international partnership and opened up new opportunities for joint initiatives in education, science, and culture.
