In Karaganda, the XVI regional Spartakiad among students for the prizes of the akim of the Karaganda region was held.
The sports event was attended by teams of eight universities and academies of our region, about a thousand university students, among them Karaganda University named after academician E.A. Buketova.
This year, the Championship among students was held in 13 sports: basketball, table tennis, chess, futsal, checkers, kettlebell lifting, volleyball, tug of war, presidential biathlon, athletics, togyzkumalak, asyk atu and kazak kuresi. Competitions - personally-team.
According to the results of the Spartakiad, the combined team of Buketov University won a landslide victory with a difference of more than 30 points.
II place was taken by Karaganda Economic University of Kazpotrebsoyuz. III place - Karaganda Technical University named after A. Saginov.
The winners and prize-winners were awarded cups, diplomas and medals. The student sports contest has become traditional and so popular that it was successfully held online even during the pandemic.
