Today, a meeting of the editorial board of the university's scientific periodicals was held, where key issues related to the implementation of the university's development plan and the tasks set out in the roadmap were discussed.One of the central points was to increase the scientific reputation and citation rate of articles, the mechanism for integrating artificial intelligence tools into the processes of the university's editorial and publishing activities in order to objectively evaluate scientific papers.Another important point of discussion was the development of the international reputation of scientific publications of Karaganda University. At present, a number of university journals are already included in international citation databases, such as Scopus and Web of Science, which indicates the high level of scientific publications and the significance of these publications in the global scientific arena. A key stage was the gradual inclusion of the remaining university journals in these databases.The reports of the editors-in-chief of recently opened journals, such as Trends in Physical Education and Sport, Fundamental and Experimental Biology, as well as the Geography and Sustainable Development Series, were heard. The ways of supporting these publications were discussed, as well as the exchange of experience to optimize their work and achieve high international standards. The Council participants emphasized the importance of creating and developing new journals for the scientific base of the university, which will help to further strengthen the influence and visibility of Karaganda University in the global scientific space. All these discussions are aimed at strengthening the scientific position of Karaganda University in the global context and improving the quality of scientific work, which, in turn, will contribute to the development of not only university, but also national science as a whole.
