EXPANDING EDUCATIONAL HORIZONS

On December 25th, a ceremony was held at the Karaganda Buketov University to present books in Korean. This significant event became part of the efforts to strengthen cultural and educational ties between Kazakhstan and South Korea. The event was attended by distinguished guests from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea: Deputy Ambassador Shin Kyuho, Head of the Political Section Kim Il-Joong, and Senior Political Affairs Expert Shin Min-Gyung. In his speech, Deputy Ambassador Shin Kyuho expressed gratitude to the university for the warm reception and emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation between Kazakhstan and South Korea in the field of education. According to him, the donated books are not only an educational resource but also a symbol of mutual understanding and friendship. Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Madina Maksimovna Umurkulova, and the Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Gulnaz Koshkimbaevna Tleuzhanova, expressed their appreciation to the Embassy for its support. They noted that these books would help develop students' language skills, deepen their knowledge of Korean culture, and expand their educational horizons. After the official part of the event, the embassy delegation participated in a guided tour of the university campus, organized by the university leadership. During the tour, the guests were introduced to the educational infrastructure, library resources, and the Department of Eastern Languages. The meeting with the guests from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea became another step in the development of intercultural dialogue, and the donated books stand as a symbol of friendship between the two countries, which share long-standing partnership relations.
