On April 09, 2022, the VI Republican Scientific and Practical Conference "Social Work and Social Pedagogy: Realities and Prospects" was held at the Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology. The conference was held online. The organizers of the conference are the Department of Social Work and Social Pedagogy.
The conference addressed topical issues in the field of education, social protection of the population, theory and practice of social work, social pedagogy. The main goal of the conference is to discuss the methodological foundations, theoretical and practical approaches covering various areas of social work and social pedagogy. The main directions of the conference were: "Innovative technologies for training social work specialists in the Republic of Kazakhstan"; "Modern socio-pedagogical technologies in the education system"; "Actual problems of education". Reports at the plenary session were made by: Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Eurasian National University. L.N. Gumilyov - S.S. Baysarin; undergraduate of the South Kazakhstan University named after. M. Auezov A.A. Dzhanzakova, Doctor of Pedagogy, Professor of the Department of Social Work and Social Pedagogy E.A. Buketova Mukhtarova Sh.M., students and undergraduates of the specialties “Social work” and “Social pedagogy and self-knowledge”, “Cultural and leisure work”.
The participants discussed the problems of the theory and practice of social work, the peculiarities of the organization of social and pedagogical activities in educational institutions, the actual problems of professional training of bachelors, the positive experience in the development of the system of social services in the conditions of integration of education, science and production; theoretical and practical aspects of the professional activity of social workers in institutions of social protection of the population.
