«Bulletin of the Karaganda University Mathematics Series» journal was included in to the second quartile of Web of Science

    Yesterday, June 20, 2024, Clarivate published Journal Citation Reports 2024, containing Journal Impact Factors 2023 and Quartiles of scientific journals within Web of Science.

    In this year's list, the scientific journal «Bulletin of the Karaganda University Mathematics Series» was included in to the second quartile of JIF 2023 Web of Science database. This is a very high result. We sincerely congratulate our colleagues!

    Only one journal was included in this quartile according to JIF 2023 out of 13 journals in Kazakhstan indexed in the Web of Science database. The remaining journals are predominantly included in the fourth quartile, among them 2 other scientific journals of Karaganda Buketov University: «Bulletin of the University of Karaganda. Chemistry Series» (since 2023 – «Eurasian Journal of Chemistry») and «Bulletin of the University of Karaganda. Physics Series».

    Quartile (Q) is a category of a scientific journal, which is determined by its bibliometric indicators reflecting the level of citation, that is, the demand of the journal by the scientific community. There are four quartiles: Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q4. Q1 is the highest quartile, Q4 is the lowest.
