June 21, 2024 at the Karaganda Research University named after. E.A. Buketov, the opening of the educational website “Intellectum.kz” took place, which was created within the framework of grant funding from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2022-2024 on the topic AR14870260 “Development of functional literacy of primary school students in the context of digitalization of education” (project manager - Dr. p.n., research professor Abildina S.K.). The event was held in offline and online formats.
During this event, the capabilities of the educational website “Intellectum.kz” were presented, in which a bank of tasks has been developed aimed at developing the functional literacy of students in primary school subjects: “Mathematics”, “Natural Science”, “Literary Reading” in accordance with the requirements of international studies PIRLS and TIMSS. The event was attended by primary school teachers in Karaganda (KSU “Osh No. 16”, KSU “School-Lyceum No. 66”, KSU “School No. 41”), teaching staff, undergraduates, doctoral students of the Faculty of Education, Kazakhstani scientists from higher and postgraduate education organizations .
At the end of the event, participants noted the practical significance of digital content and expressed gratitude to the site developers. Buzaubakova K.D., Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of Taraz Regional University named after M.Kh. Dulati noted the importance of the educational website “Intellectum.kz” for modern Kazakh schools. In her words, this is unique digital content that is designed to develop the functional literacy of students in the primary education system.
At the end of the event, primary school teachers were awarded certificates for their participation in the development of assignments in primary school subjects.
