A FAMOUS BRITISH SCIENTIST WAS AWARDED THE TITLE OF HONORARY PROFESSOR OF BUKETOV UNIVERSITY

    By the decision of the Academic Council of Karaganda University named after Academician E. A. Buketov dated June 28, 2024, the British and Kazakh chemist, professor at the University of Reading (Great Britain) Vitaliy Viktorovich Khutoryanskiy  was awarded the title of Honorary Professor.

    V. V. Khutoryanskiy’s scientific research is devoted to polymers, nanomaterials, drug delivery to the body and pharmaceutical sciences. Khutoryanskiy V.V. over 200 original scientific articles, reviews and book chapters have been published. His publications have been cited over 11,000 times, and the H-index is 52. V. V. Khutoryanskiy has been awarded several prestigious awards, including: the McBean Medal, a joint award of the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Society of the Chemical Industry of Great Britain, a fellowship of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) of Great Britain, UK Research Leader of the Year Award (FindAUniversity), Innovative Science Award, UK Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Royal Society Industry Fellow and others.

    Professor Khutoryanskiy V.V. gave a series of lectures for doctoral students at Karaganda University on polymer chemistry and the publication of scientific articles in prestigious journals, and conducted individual and group consultations for them. Under his leadership, dozens of Kazakh doctoral students defended their dissertations and are preparing to defend them. He is a participant in a number of scientific projects in collaboration with domestic scientists.
