Today, chess tournaments started at the Karaganda Buketov University, as part of the first day of the Spartakiad, dedicated to intellectual and strategic sports. Chess, which is not only an exciting game, but also a real test of logical thinking, strategic planning, endurance and sports spirit, became the center of attention of students.
At the first stage of chess matches, girls representing various faculties demonstrated their skills. The participants not only showed a high level of play, but also strategic thinking. Some games were completed quickly, while others continued in a tense struggle, which testified to the high perseverance and talent of each of the participants.

Chemistry Department – 1st place
Biology and Geography Department – 2nd place
Foreign Languages Department – 3rd place
Physics and Technology Department – 4th place
Philosophy and Psychology Department – 5th place
After the exciting chess matches among the girls, it was the boys' turn. Their games were distinguished not only by strategic thinking, but also by dynamics, which added interest to the tournament.
"In principle, everything started quite well. I immediately checkmated my opponent. True, I began to feel anxious, but I quickly dealt with it," says Yerbolat Alikhan from the FN-24-1k group
"Today's game was very difficult. There are three of us in the team,” adds Orazgali Nurbek from the FKIS-24-5k group
