From history: the studio of pop singing "Jastar" was created in 1999 with the aim of developing the creative potential of student youth, introducing them to modern culture in the genre of pop songs. Its founder and leader was the musician, composer, arranger Soldatkhan Yskak.

Profile: the studio's repertoire includes songs of modern Kazakhstani composers, works of domestic and foreign pop music. Among the brightest soloists, laureates of regional, republican and international competitions are Nurlybek Zarkenov, Nurbota Kushkimbayev, Bekarys Zhumabek, Sana Mukanova, Amandyk Satybayev, Asset Zhabayev, Zhaisan Toleutayev, Aigerim Fazylova, Shyngys Zhukenov, Ayan Zhorabekov, Baktykeldy Makibay, Medet Mauiyanov, Yerkebulan Kaliyev, Agybai Udeshov and others.
