The main scientific direction is molecular design and synthesis of advanced conjugated organic semiconductors for organic electronics and photonics.

Purpose:

–Synthesis of new advanced organic semiconductors based on azulene and diphenylaniline chemistry possessing high mobility of charge carriers, efficient luminescence, good processability from solutions, oxidative and thermal stability and other properties for application in organic electronics and photonics devices.

Objectives:

- Carrying out molecular design of azulene organic semiconductors of donor-acceptor, linear and divergent structure;

- Synthesis of a representative series of azulene organic semiconductors of donor-acceptor, linear and divergent structure;

- Investigation of optical, electrochemical and electrophysical properties as well as oxidative and thermal stability of azulene organic semiconductors;

- Development of new efficient azulene TADF emitters (blue, green and red) for OLED technology.
