On the basis of the decision of the Board of Directors of NJSC "Karaganda University named after academician E.A. Buketov" dated 08.09.2022 (Minutes No. 6), and also according to the order of the Chairman of the Board - Rector N.O. Dulatbekov (Order No. 1185 of 09/19/2022), the Department of Sports and Pedagogical Disciplines was opened at the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports
The Department of Sports and Pedagogical Disciplines trains specialists for the fields of physical education and sports. The department offers a bachelor's degree program. The training program includes such topical disciplines as "Athletics with teaching methods", "Football with teaching methods", "Basketball with teaching methods", "Volleyball with teaching methods", "Skiing with teaching methods", "Outdoor games with teaching methods", etc.
Graduates of the Department of Sports and Pedagogical Disciplines can teach in schools, colleges, lyceums, work as coaches in sports organizations, engage in research activities in the field of education, sports and physical culture. Students have access to modern sports halls equipped with modern sports equipment, specialized classrooms, a scientific library and electronic resources of the university. The department provides the passage of professional practice at the sites of the faculty, on the basis of the university. The scientific interests of the department are connected with the problems of sports education, public promotion of the idea of a healthy lifestyle, technologies of training teachers of physical culture and sports.
