BUKETOV'S CONTRIBUTION TO SCIENCE

A regular Board meeting was held in the conference hall of Karaganda Buketov University with the participation of its members, deans of faculties and distinguished professors of the university. A priority topic on the agenda was the holding of events dedicated to the anniversary of the First Rector of the University. To date, 26 events have been held, as well as more than 70 significant events - scientific and practical conferences, Olympiads in physics, the Russian language, round tables, an international competition in linguistics and Linguodidactics among students, magistrates, doctoral students, the International School, "Bouquet Readings - 2025", etc. A number of other events will be held in April and May, including: five conferences, two competitions, one project and one marathon. When the deputies addressed the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Olzhas Bektenov, they expressed their wishes for the publication of a seven-volume collection of works dedicated to Buketov, as well as updating the six-volume edition published 20 years ago, supplementing it with unpublished works and materials from foreign archives; assigning Buketov's name to modern schools under construction under the Comfortable School state program in the cities of Petropavlovsk, Karaganda, Kokshetau, Astana, Almaty, Turkestan, as well as the opening of museums and corners dedicated to Buketov in these schools; the inclusion of the works of E.A. Buketova is included in the curricula of secondary schools. In order to perpetuate the memory of the outstanding scientist and writer of Astana, Almaty, Turkestan Balkhash, it is planned to assign his name to streets, erect monuments in the cities of Balkhash and his hometown Petropavlovsk. In addition, issues of improving pedestrian paths with the restoration of Buketov's burial site, as well as holding a series of events during the year for the anniversary of the scientist with the involvement of the Akimat of the Karaganda region were touched upon. The Ministry of Industry and Construction needs to resolve the issue of raising the status and volume of the Academician Buketov Science Award. The Prime Minister gave a positive response regarding Buketov's invaluable contribution to the field of science, which will give a new impetus to the development of Kazakhstan. The scientist's works have not lost their relevance in the field of national science and will become a reference point for young scientists. Also, as part of the cycle of the unique national TV channel "Kazakhstan", a 40-minute new broadcast dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Academician Buketov will be organized. In addition, information support will be provided for events held within the framework of the anniversary of the scientist, as well as publications about the life and work of the academician in print media and online resources. It is planned to carry out large-scale work on the revival of Buketov's dramatic plays in theaters of the country's cities, create a documentary about the scientist-writer, popularize his legacy in the press and on social networks, and organize television and radio broadcasts. In the second quarter of this year, 100 collectible coins with a face value of 200 tenge in the amount of 5,000 pieces with the image of E.A. Buketov will be issued. One of the significant events will be the holding of an international conference on September 26, 2025 with the participation of foreign guests and scientists from Buketov University. On behalf of the Prime Minister, banners with quotes of the scientist will be installed with the support of the regional akimat. This year, Buketov's seven–volume book and encyclopedia on the formation of a research university will be published, where 20-30 percent will be devoted to the scientist, and the lion's share will be devoted to the history and formation of a research university in two languages - Kazakh and Russian. In addition, the issue of awarding scholarships named after Academician E.A. Buketov to the best students of each faculty is being considered.
