From 24 February to 4 March 2025, Karaganda University named after academician E.A. Buketov is hosting a visit of representatives of Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan (Uzbekistan) under the academic mobility program. As part of the visit to Karaganda University came two professors from Uzbekistan:1. Ibraimova Aziza Alimbaevna, Candidate of Geographical Sciences, Associate Professor, on the programme of attracting foreign scientists, who will conduct lectures and seminars.2. Avezov Mukhriddin Maksud ugli, Candidate of Geographical Sciences, Associate Professor, under the guest lecturer programme, who will conduct a series of lectures on topical issues of geography and ecology.In addition, as part of the academic mobility program, students and master's students from Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan, studying in the fields of «Geography», «Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre», came to Karaganda University. Their participation in the program will enhance knowledge and strengthen ties between the two universities.The cooperation between the universities was formalised in 2021 with the signing of an agreement, and the visit was a significant step in strengthening scientific and educational ties between the universities.
