In Buketov University, there was a discussion about the outstanding individuals of Kazakhstan.

On the eve of Independence Day at Buketov University in Karaganda, a meeting was held for faculty members and students with state political and public activists, including the head and honorary chairman of the Republican Public Association “JANARU,” and Faculty of History graduate Abdirahmanov Oralbai Abdikarimovich. During the meeting, a round table discussion took place on the topic of “Independence and Individuals.” Participants discussed the contributions of outstanding individuals to the development of the country. N.B. Smagulov, Assistant to the Professor of the Department of Archaeology, Ethnology, and National History, PhD, presented on “Historical Milestones of National Sovereignty.” B.A. Dosova, Head of the Department of World History and International Relations, candidate of historical sciences, and associate professor, spoke on “Milestones in the Formation of Independent Kazakhstan.” Also among the speakers was Zh.A. Zhumabekov, Dean of the Faculty of History, candidate of historical sciences, and associate professor. During his presentation on “The Role of Figures in Reinforcing National Independence,” he noted that history is shaped by individuals. One such individual, Faculty graduate O.A. Abdikarimov, was awarded the title of Honorary Professor of the University by the decision of the Academic Council.
