SCIENTISTS - LAWYERS OF KARAGANDA BUKETOV UNIVERSITY AND AI: SYNERGY OF IMPROVING ACCESS TO JUSTICE FOR THE POPULATION

An international digest was held at the Karaganda Buketov University site as part of the implementation of the program "Innovative approaches to ensuring access to justice for the population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, using artificial intelligence tools" on the topic: "Artificial intelligence in justice: opportunities and risks".The event, which was held in a mixed format, was attended by representatives of all branches of government: deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, judges of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as scientists and practitioners from foreign countries dealing with issues of using artificial intelligence (Russia, USA, China, Poland).During the discussions, the speakers considered issues of foreign experience in implementing artificial intelligence in the judicial and law enforcement systems, legal aspects of using AI, information security issues when using artificial intelligence technologies, as well as the results of a sociological survey of the population on the topic of the Program.An active discussion was caused by the presentation by the partner organization of the digital platform "LegalExpert.kz", aimed at expanding the population's access to protecting their rights using artificial intelligence.The participants of the digest summed up the results and determined further stages of implementation.
