The Karaganda region took the baton of the “Mamandygym – Bolashaghym” project. Today here on the basis of Karaganda University. Academician E.A. Buketov held the opening of a regional design office.
The Mamandygym – Bolashaghym project is being implemented within the framework of the Program for Increasing Population Incomes until 2029, adopted by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Its main goal is to predict changes in the labor market in the region and provide early career guidance for students.
The event was held with the participation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek, who noted the importance of cooperation between the academic environment, the secondary education system and employers in matters of training specialists. A dynamically developing labor market requires proactive personnel training, which means proactive forecasting of the need for skills and competencies and early career guidance for students. The head of the department also focused on the need to develop science at the university, attract young people to science, internationalize higher education and form a digital ecosystem.
The project team and the teaching staff of the university were welcomed by the Deputy Akim of the Karaganda region Alikulov Erbol Shymkentbaevich, the deputy head of the education department Azamat Tleuovich Bolkenbaev, the head of the project group of the “Mamandygym-Bolashagym” program Samgat Ermekbaev, the Chairman of the Board - the rector of the Karaganda University. E. Buketova, Professor Dulatbekov Nurlan Orynbasarovich, representatives of the project office of the National Center for the Development of Higher Education.
University Rector N.O. Dulatbekov focused on the goals of the Project and its role in training specialists for the region, and also wished the seminar participants success in acquiring new necessary skills.
As part of the opening of the Mamandygym-Bolashaghym project office, university employees will undergo certification training in foresight research methodology in an intensive mode for 5 days. Based on the results of the training, university employees will join the team of the regional project office and conduct a foresight study with the participation of key industry experts in the region, aimed at creating a regional map of personnel needs in the Karaganda region.
Today, the regional project office “Mamandygym-Bolashagym” is implemented in 8 regions: Atyrau, Aktobe, Akmola, Karaganda, Zhetysu, West Kazakhstan regions and the cities of Astana and Almaty.
2 regions - Pavlodar and Mangystau regions - have completed the development of maps of regional personnel needs and identified promising professions for the priority sectors of these regions. Professional diagnostics of students were also carried out, based on the results of which students determined their profile and opportunities for implementation in professional activities. 38,182 students underwent professional diagnostics.
In total, in Kazakhstan, 50 organizations of higher professional education presented 440 educational programs in new and transforming specialties, in which 27,299 students are studying. Also, 34 TVET organizations have introduced 40 new and updated educational programs, which educate 4,015 students.
