Since 2023, Buketov Karaganda University has been implementing an innovative educational initiative called the "Silver University." The mission of the Silver University is to create accessible and valuable educational opportunities for adults aged 55 and older for their personal development, social integration, and health improvement. The Faculty of Additional Education has received Copyright Certificate No. 52767 dated December 18, 2024, for the Collection of Adult Non-Formal Education Programs, which were successfully piloted in 2024. The compilers of the collection, Dean of the Faculty of Additional Education S.D. Mukanova and methodologists A.B. Shakhmetova and A.A. Khamitova, included 10 programs in the publication, which trained 90 people in 2024. The program developers are faculty members from the Law, Mathematics, Economics, Philology, and Foreign Languages faculties. The program "Health Improvement: Physical Adaptation, Sports Activities, Healthy Lifestyle" was developed in partnership with the fitness center "Persona."
