The International Distance Olympiad in World Economics was held on May 16-17, 2023.
The objectives of the Olympiad are to improve the quality of training of qualified specialists, develop students' creative abilities, as well as increase students' interest in academic activities and future profession.
The Olympiad consists of three rounds: 1 – Testing, 2 – Cases, 3 - The development of a scientific project on the topic.
Applications were received from 9 teams, of which 5 teams qualified for the second round. The results of the final round are as follows:
1st place - Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Adviser - Khamzayeva Assel Valitkhanovna, PhD);
2nd place - Vitebsk State Technological University (Adviser - Yasheva Galina Artemovna, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor);
2nd place - Academician Ye.A. Buketov Karaganda University (Adviser - Temirbayeva Dinara Makhambetovna, PhD, Senior Teacher, Rakhimova Akerke Nurlanovna, Master of Economic Sciences, Teacher);
3rd place - Kazpotrebsoyuz Karaganda University (Adviser - Abeuova Saya Tursynovna, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor);
3rd place - Academician Ye.A. Buketov Karaganda University (Adviser - Kuttybayeva Nurgul Bolatovna, PhD, Associate Professor, Nurzhan Madina Adiletovna, Master of Economic Sciences, Teacher).
