The International Distance Olympiad in Economics was held on April 15, 2023.
The objectives of the Olympiad are to improve the quality of training of qualified specialists, develop students' creative abilities, as well as increase students' interest in academic activities and future profession.
The Olympiad consists of two rounds:1 – The economist's discourse, 2 – The development of a scientific project on the topic "The impact of small and medium-sized businesses on employment."
Applications were received from 12 teams, of which 6 teams qualified for the second round. The results of the final round are as follows:
1st place - Vitebsk State Technological University (Olga Petrovna Sovetnikova, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Finance and Commercial Activity);
2nd place - Tashkent State University of Economics (Hotamov Ibodullo Sadullayevich, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Economics of Industries);
2nd place - Vitebsk State Technological University (Olga Petrovna Sovetnikova, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Finance and Commercial Activity);
3rd place - Kazan Federal University Institute of Management (Oksana Anatoliyevna Ignatieva, Associate Professor, Candidate of Economic Sciences);
3rd place - International Taraz Innovation Institute (Kadyrova Akmaral Satbekovna, PhD, Associate Professor, Vice-Rector for Academic Work);
3rd place - Karaganda University named after academician E.A.Buketov (Raikhanova Gulnur Amankeldievna, Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor, Yeskendir Nessip Nuralykyzy, Senior lecturer, Master of Economics, Makalakova Beinegul Mamyrzhanovna, Lecturer, Master of Economics).
