ROUND TABLE ON THE TOPIC: “CONSTITUTIONAL REFORM OF MODERN KAZAKHSTAN AS A BASIS FOR IMPROVING THE REALIZATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS”

On September 8, 2023, the Research Institute of Legal Research and State Studies, together with the Department of Constitutional and International Law of the Faculty of Law of Karaganda University named after Academician E.A. Buketova held a round table on the topic: “Constitutional reforms of modern Kazakhstan as the basis for improving the implementation of human rights.”

Candidate of Legal Sciences, Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Law A.M. Serikbaev made a welcoming speech. The moderator of the plenary session was PhD, professor, director of the Research Institute of Legal Research and State Studies, Gulnara Ukibaevna Balgimbekova.

Lyudmila Aslanovna Thabisimova, Director of the Law Institute of Pyatigorsk State University, honorary worker in the sphere of education of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Law, Professor (Russian Federation), delivered a welcoming speech.

The event participants gave scientific reports that aroused keen interest and exchange of opinions:

Gafurova Nozimakhon Eldarovna – Head of the Department of International Law and Human Rights, Associate Professor, PhD Doctor of Tashkent State Law University on the topic “Constitutional reforms of Uzbekistan in the field of protection of women’s rights” (Republic of Uzbekistan);

Gusakov Yuri Anatolyevich - Director of the Karaganda branch of the Kazakhstan International Bureau for Human Rights and Rule of Law on the topic “National Preventive Mechanism for the Prevention of Torture”;

Yuldasheva Govherzhan - Doctor of Law, Professor of the Department of International Law and Human Rights at Tashkent State Law University with a report “The New Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the expansion of protection of human rights and freedoms”;

Rakhmanov Abdumukhtor Rezhzhabbaevich - acting Professor of the Department of International Law and Human Rights Doctor of Philosophy in Legal Sciences of the Tashkent State Law University on the topic “Islam and human rights”;

Turlaev Andrey Viktorovich - Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Karaganda University. Academician E.A. Buketova, candidate of legal sciences with the report “The Message of the Head of State as a political basis for the implementation of human rights in modern Kazakhstan”;

Azkhodjaeva Roza Altynovna Ph.D., teacher at Tashkent State Law University on the topic “The importance of health protection in the New Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan.”
