On February 15, 2025, a round table "History, Theory and Practice of Development of Ethnomediation in Kazakhstan" dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan was held in the House of Friendship on the initiative of the Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology of the Karaganda Research University named after Academician E.A. Buketov. The event was attended by scientists, experts and public figures, as well as students of our university.Welcoming remarks were made by the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology of the Karaganda Research University named after Academician E.A. Buketov Makatova A.D. and the Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi Em N.B. During the meeting, topical issues of ethnomediation, its role in ensuring public harmony, psychological aspects of ethnosocialization, as well as prospects for the development of interethnic dialogue in Kazakhstan were discussed.Among the speakers were representatives of the scientific community, professional mediators and activists. The issues of conflict prevention through ethnomediation mechanisms, the formation of multicultural tolerance and the institutionalization of mediation in Kazakhstani society were raised. The round table became a platform for a productive exchange of opinions, uniting specialists from different fields to find effective solutions in the field of interethnic interaction.
