On February 26, the Faculty of Foreign Languages held an intellectual competition in English "Polyglot-2025", dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the first rector of Karaganda University, academician E.A. Buketov, and the 1155th anniversary of the thinker Abu Nasr al-Farabi.7 teams of 3 people each took part in the event. The competition consisted of three stages. Students had to answer questions related to the activities of two legendary personalities, use logical thinking - the tasks had a subtext and it was not so easy to solve them, and also translate famous proverbs into three languages - Kazakh, Russian, English.All the teams were intellectually savvy, well-read and had an excellent command of English, but the best were the students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages - 1st place, 2nd place was awarded to the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology and 3rd place to the team of the Faculty of Biology and Geography. The winning teams received cash certificates
