THE KAZAKH NATIONAL ORCHESTRA OF FOLK INSTRUMENTS NAMED AFTER KURMANGAZY VISITED KARAGANDA REGION IN CONNECTION WITH ITS 90TH ANNIVERSARY

Today's especially sunny day became a real holiday for the faculty, students and staff of the Karaganda Research University of Buketov.

The Kazakh National Academic Orchestra of Folk Instruments named after Kurmangazy performed on the stage of our university. It is the first and unique orchestra in the history of instrumental musical art in Kazakhstan. It introduced the audience to the world of Kazakh musical culture, incomparable in their beauty melodies of the steppes, unique Kazakh musical instruments.

Today the orchestra is headed by Abylay Tlepbergenov and the chief conductor is Medet Kuanyshev. Soloists of the ensemble: Talgat Dyusembayev, Zhenis Yskakova, Kairat Kakimov.

Famous kuis of folk composers sounded to the soulful sounds of the dombra. At that moment, the audience could imagine a huge steppe, birds singing, a herd of horses rushing into the distance, beautiful girls braiding their hair, young people playing altybakan. The orchestra's repertoire also includes foreign works enriched with a modern interpretation of harmonic and polyphonic sounds, as well as polyphony. The orchestra's repertoire clearly shows how beneficial it is to turn to the musical culture of Kazakhstan and the whole world.

This year, the Kurmangazy Orchestra celebrates a significant event - its 90th anniversary, and the performance within the walls of the University Bouquets became a bright part of the tour program dedicated to the festive date. The orchestra's performance priorities are highly professional education in the field of Kazakh folk instrumental music and folklore. The team of the great orchestra purposefully works to replenish both the performing staff and the repertoire for the prosperity of national art and culture. In the final part, the orchestra team visited the kuis-alley of the Karaganda Buketov University.
