On April 20-21, 2023, on the basis of the Faculty of History of Karaganda Buketov University, the XV Republican Student Subject Olympiad, 6B02204 - "History" educational program, dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Faculty of History of Karaganda Buketov University, was held.
12 teams including 47 students and 16 leaders from 11 universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan were announced to participate in the Olympiad.
The purpose of the Olympiad is to disclosure of creative abilities, selection and support of the most talented and gifted students; assistance in the formation of the intellectual potential of students; involvement of students and young scientists in solving scientific problems of modern time; development of interest in scientific activities in the educational program, as well as for the formation of a team to participate in national and international olympiads.
Working languages of the Olympiad are Kazakh and Russian.
Republican Olympiad was held in 4 stages:
The first stage was called "Greeting". Members of each team presented their region, university and team. The second stage: all teams defended their scientific projects on the topic “On the history of the Kazakh-Dzungarian wars. Aktaban shubyryndy, Alkakol sulama". The third stage consisted of a competition of captains and intellectual tasks, where students had to demonstrate their knowledge of historical monuments, personalities, sources, etc. The fourth stage was a test.
The grand opening of the Olympiad was held with the participation of a member of the board, vice-rector for social and cultural development of Karaganda Buketov University Syzdykov Meirzhan Zhakenovich, as well as the Dean of the Faculty of History of the Karaganda Buketov University, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor D.A. Dzhumabekov.
On April 20, I-III stages were held in accordance with the program of the Olympiad. On April 21, the IV stage was held.
In accordance with the final result, prizes were distributed as follows:
1 prize:
- Team "Kultegin" of the Eurasian National University n.a. L.N. Gumilyov, Astana
2nd prize:
– Team "ESIL" of Astana International University, Astana;
– Team "CLIO" of the Kazakh National University n. a. al-Farabi, Almaty
3rd prize:
- "Baitursynov team" of Kostanay Regional University n.a. A. Baitursynov, Kostanay;
– Team "Ak Zhaiyk" of the West Kazakhstan University n. a. M. Utemisov, Oral;
- Team "Zhubanovshylar" of Aktobe Regional University n. a/ K. Zhubanov, Aktobe.
Besides, the teams were awarded diplomas in the following categories:
- Nomination "The best creative team" - the team "Shyrak" of the Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University, Almaty;
- Nomination "The best creative team" - the team "Zheruyik" of the Kazakh National Pedagogical University n. a. Abay, Almaty;
– Nomination "The best intellectual team" - the team "Yertys generation" of Toraigyrov University, Pavlodar;
- Nomination "The best research team" - the team "Shokan zhuldyzdary" of Kokshetau University n.a. Sh. Ualikhanov
Thus, the XV Republican student subject Olympiad, 6B02204 - "History" educational program, was held in strict accordance with the rules for holding Olympiads.
