The Department for Quality Assurance and Risk Assessment of Karaganda Buketov University organized and conducted a series of interactive training workshops on the topic "Identification, analysis and assessment of risks" at 12 faculties of the university in the period from September 20 to October 14, 2022. The purpose of the training workshops was to train the teaching staff of the University in the process of risk management as part of the implementation of risk management in the business processes of the university.
A total of 284 people from 12 faculties took part in the training workshops.
The issues of identification, analysis and assessment of risks in the activities of the university were discussed at training workshops. The teaching staff had the opportunity to get acquainted with the basic terms and concepts of risk management, the PESTLE-Analysis method for conducting a comprehensive analysis of identified risks and etc. At the training workshop the Department for Quality Assurance and Risk Assessment presented the online Risk register template, gave examples of processes and specific cases on risk management of structural divisions.
The teaching staff of the faculties was also familiarized with the results of the "Comprehensive survey of the teaching staff of KBU in order to identify risks in the field of sustainable development," conducted earlier by the Department for Quality Assurance and Risk Assessment. The training workshop was held in a lively direct discussion, the teachers had the opportunity to share their opinion on the risks of business processes of the university faculties and to get answers to their questions.
