“90 meetings for the 90th anniversary of the city of Karaganda” Central City Library named after M.O. Auezova:to the 40th anniversary of the specialty “Pedagogy and methods of primary education”

As part of the project “90 meetings for the 90th anniversary of the city of Karaganda” in the Central City Library named after M.O. Auezov, with the support of the State Institution “Department of Culture, Language Development, Physical Culture and Sports of the City of Karaganda”, on May 3, 2024, a meeting was held with the teaching staff of the Department of Pedagogy and Methods of Primary Education of the Pedagogical Faculty of Karaganda Research University named after Academician E.A. Buketov, dedicated to 40 -anniversary of the specialty “Pedagogy and methods of primary education.” Students and graduates of the Department of Pedagogy and Primary Education Methods from previous years were also invited.

The event “Pedagogy: from the beginnings to the present day” was organized on the initiative of the director of the KSU “Centralized Library System of Karaganda” Gulzhan Kabylkarimovna Akhmetkarimova.

Library staff presented an exhibition of books “Pedagogy - adam tarbiesi turaly gylym”, dedicated to teacher-writers, scientists who have made a significant contribution to the development of education, literature, and the Kazakh language; read excerpts from the works of Shakarim and Akhmet Baitursynov.

At the meeting, topical issues were discussed - about preparing future primary school teachers for professional activities; about the competencies necessary for a modern teacher; about the teacher’s instilling of national values and moral qualities in students through the means of fiction. Graduates shared memories of their student years. The meeting participants spoke about their mentors who helped them realize their professional and personal qualities; about their favorite books, about the role of books in the life of a teacher. During the discussion, the participants focused on the words of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, said at the second and third meetings of the National Kurultai in Turkestan, Atyrau: “The most significant steps to the progress of our nation are books. Therefore, we must consistently root a high reading culture in society... instill a love of reading. This is the only way we will become a reading nation.”
