In the period from April 03 to May 03, 2023, the 3rd year doctoral students of the educational program 8D01301 – "Pedagogy and methodology of primary education" of the Pedagogical faculty Medieva S.H., Otynshina G.S., completed a month-long foreign internship at Gazi University (Ankara, Turkey).
The university is in the list of the top-1050 best universities in the world, according to the QS international ranking. The university is considered one of the best in the humanities, biomedical and natural sciences, engineering and technology, social sciences and management, which is confirmed by the QS ranking.
The scientific internship was built on the close work of doctoral students and a foreign scientific consultant – Vice-rector of Gazi University, PhD Yücel GELIŞLI. The doctoral students presented their research results for discussion and also participated in the scientific and social life of the institute.
Gazi University has a library of 150,000 books, 62,000 bound periodicals and 10,000 dissertations. The library subscribes to 700 periodicals in foreign languages and 600 in Turkish, and also provides access to 20,000 online journals and 30 online databases.
Doctoral students regularly worked at the Ankara Presidential National Library, Gazi University Library Center to gather material on the topic of their research.
During the internship, doctoral students worked directly with professors of the Faculty of Education (Egitim fakultesi) – Mehmet Akif Sözer, Ismail Karakaya on research topics, discussed issues related to dissertation work, and also improved their knowledge by attending lectures of Turkish teachers.
On April 25, 2023, doctoral students visited the Secondary School of the Gazi University Foundation. They got acquainted with the work of this educational institution. General director Vacide Kutay spoke in detail about the peculiarities of the primary education system in Turkey.
At the end of the internship, Vice-rector of Gazi University, Professor Yücel GELISLI presented certificates of successful completion of foreign internship to doctoral students.
The foreign internship made it possible to see new perspectives of research work, to carry out an in-depth analysis of the problem under study, to offer new ideas for its solution, and to obtain optimal results.
