From 11 to 12 December 2024, the delegation of Karaganda Buketov University visited the Kyrgyz-Turkish University «Manas» in Bishkek to discuss the prospects for expanding scientific and academic cooperation, as well as the implementation of joint projects. The delegation included: Member of the Board, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development of Karaganda University E.Zh. Sarmurzin, Scientific Secretary N.E. Tutinova and senior lecturer of the Department of Kazakh Linguistics of the Faculty of Philology B.A. Zhunusova. One of the central issues of the visit was the discussion of opportunities for the development of bilateral programs in the field of Turkology. In particular, the project of double-diploma education in this field was considered, as well as the exchange of theology programs. The implementation of the «Orkhun» program aimed at preserving and studying Turkic cultural heritage, as well as the possibility of opening an auditorium dedicated to Chingiz Aitmatov at Karaganda University were also discussed within the framework of scientific cooperation. In addition, during the talks, the issue of sending master's and doctoral students of our university under the Rukhani.kz project to study sacred places in Kyrgyzstan was raised, which is an important step in expanding scientific exchange and cultural interaction between the two countries. They also discussed the possibility of organising internships for biology students in Karkaralinsk, which will allow developing inter-university cooperation in both scientific and educational projects. It is important to note that both sides agreed on joint publications of scientists, which contributes to the development of academic ties and exchange of scientific knowledge. In addition, it was announced that the rector of the Kyrgyz-Turkish «Manas» University will pay a return visit to Karaganda University in spring 2025, which will open new prospects for deepening cooperation between the universities. At the end of the visit, the delegation visited the Ata-Beyit Memorial Complex, where the famous writer Chingiz Aitmatov is buried. It is worth noting that the visit coincided with the birthday of the great writer, which gave the event a special atmosphere and significance. The visit of the delegation from Karaganda University was an important step in strengthening scientific and educational ties with «Manas» Kyrgyz-Turkish University and opens new opportunities for joint projects in science, education and cultural exchange.
