STRENGTHENING ACADEMIC COOPERATION

Aikumis Raissova, an anthropologist at the Saryarka Archaeological Institute and a senior lecturer at the Department of Archaeology, Ethnology, and National History of Buketov Karaganda University, recently completed a visit to Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University in Turkey. This visit marks the initiation of a new agreement designed to strengthen academic cooperation between the two universities.The series of meetings kicked off with Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Orhan Doğan, who expressed a warm welcome for the new agreement, emphasizing its potential to boost research and educational opportunities across various fields. Following this, Prof. Dr. Yakup Poyraz, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, affirmed the collaborative efforts, underscoring the anticipated advantages for both universities.Further discussions involved Assoc. Prof. Dr. Oktay Dumankaya, Head of the Department of Archaeology, and Assistant Prof. Dr. Handegül Canlı, Head of the Classical Archaeology Division. Furthermore, a strategy session with Özlem Nalbantbaşı, Head of the International Relations Office, concluded the details of the agreement and outlined plans for forthcoming initiatives. This agreement will enable students and faculty from both universities to engage in educational exchanges, enhancing their academic experience and fostering the sharing of knowledge across various disciplines.The new agreement is expected to bring substantial advancements, ensuring continued collaboration and shared expertise that will benefit both Buketov Karaganda University and Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University.
