On March 15, on the eve of the Nauryz holiday, students of the Biology and Geography Department of the Karaganda University named after Academician E.A. Buketov organized a bright celebration. The guests of the event were university staff, teachers and students who immersed themselves in the atmosphere of Kazakh national traditions.The guys presented the best rituals for celebrating the New Year according to the Kazakh calendar: young men and women prepared shashu - a traditional showering of guests with sweets for good luck, and also laid a rich dastarkhan with treats. The festive program included folk songs, fiery dances and theatrical scenes, including the "Tusau keser" ritual, symbolizing the first steps of a child.Of particular interest were the demonstration performances in Kazakh national wrestling - kures. Young wrestlers demonstrated strength, agility and respect for ancient traditions, causing a storm of emotions among the audience.The guests were pleased to come into contact with the rich culture of the Kazakh people, and the festive dastarkhan with traditional dishes complemented the warm and friendly atmosphere of the day.
