On September 12, 2024, a meeting was held at the Karaganda Research University named after Academician E.A. Buketov between the senior officer of the Prevention Department of the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Combating Corruption in the Karaganda Region (Anti-Corruption Service of the Region) Saktapbergen Akim Erlanuly, speaker of the educational pool Antikor Suleimenova Altynai Islyamovna, head of the Anti-Corruption Compliance Service of the University Oleynik Vasily Ivanovich with the faculty of the Faculty of Law and students of the university on current issues of combating corruption and compliance with anti-corruption legislation. Senior officer of the Prevention Department of the Anti-Corruption Service of the region Saktapbergen Akim Erlanuly spoke about the anti-corruption activities of the Anti-Corruption Service Department of the region and focused on current problems and areas of development of legislation in this area.
Speaker of the educational pool Antikor Suleimenova A.I. in her speech touched upon current issues of combating corruption, amendments and additions to some acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on issues of combating corruption and the "Rules for rewarding persons who reported the fact of a corruption offense or otherwise assist in combating corruption." Altynai Islyamovna also spoke about the responsibility for non-compliance with anti-corruption restrictions with specific examples and informed students and teaching staff about the main directions of the Concept of Anti-Corruption Policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2022-2026 and reminded about the call center of Agency 1424.
The head of the Anti-Corruption Compliance Service of the University, V.I. Oleynik, spoke about the implementation of the Anti-Corruption Policy of the University. He noted that the higher education system faces an important task of continuing an active anti-corruption policy in order to ensure transparency and accessibility of educational services.
In the final part of the meeting, Akim Erlanuly and Vasily Ivanovich expressed their opinion on further cooperation in matters of combating corruption, including with the public and student government. It was noted that such meetings will serve as an important platform and incentive for further improvement of the anti-corruption strategy, improvement of interaction and development of effective measures for the formation of academic honesty at the university. The speakers also gave detailed answers to questions from students and teachers of the university.
