Excursions for city schoolchildren
During the autumn holidays, the Museum of Archeology and Ethnography of the Saryarka Archaeological Institute hospitably hosted schoolchildren of the city on excursions. The museum was visited by sixth graders from schools No. 40, 46 and 27, tenth graders from schools No. 59 and 45. The tour introduced the audience to the ancient and medieval history of Central Kazakhstan, the archaeological monuments of Saryarka, new discoveries of scientists-archaeologists of the Karaganda University named after E.A. Buketov. To consolidate their knowledge, the children took part in a quiz, the questions of which included information about the archaeological and ethnographic exhibits of the museum. The winners received prizes – books on archeology and magazines "The World of Youth". The interactive block of the meeting included a kind of expertise: the students had to determine where the real artifacts made by the hand of an ancient man and found during excavations, and where – modern things and natural crafts. Those who wished could prepare flour from grain themselves with the help of authentic museum artefacts
