BUKETOV UNIVERSITY SIGNED A MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION WITH A CHINESE UNIVERSITY

A delegation from the Liaoning Petrochemical University (China) visited the Karaganda Research University named after academician E.A. Buketov. It included the rector, professor Guo Changyi, deputy dean of the College of International Education of the Petrochemical University Liu Xiaoliang, deputy director of the department of international relations Kong Xianming, director of the department of teaching Russian language and scientific research of the school of foreign languages of the Petrochemical University Yang Qian. As part of the visit, an official meeting was held with the rector Dulatbekov N.O. and deans of the faculties. The parties discussed the prospects for scientific and educational cooperation in the petrochemical and other industries, identified key areas of interaction and the possibility of opening a scientific laboratory on the basis of the Karaganda Research University named after E.A. Buketov. Rector of Liaoning Petrochemical University Guo Changyi thanked the management of the Buketov University for the warm welcome and productive discussion of possible collaborations. "Liaoning Petroleum and Chemical Technology University was founded in 1950 and was the first oil school in China. In addition, Liaoning Province is called the coal capital, just like Karaganda in your republic. I think we have many points of contact that will help build fruitful scientific interaction," he noted. At the end of the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed, providing for mutually beneficial partnership between universities in the fields of science and education, joint scientific research, student exchange, etc. The meeting participants noted that the memorandum is not just a formal document, but a basis for long-term relations that can bring significant results in both scientific and practical spheres. Then the delegation of the Chinese university got acquainted with the finds of the Buketov University archaeologists in the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnography. The visit also included a visit to modern laboratories and an acquaintance with the innovative projects of young scientists from the chemical and physical-technical faculties.
